Hi
so actually I was suffering from two problems, let me explain
first was I was feeling pain/sensations in the calf and it was worst during sleep, so the doctor said it is due to vitamin d and b12 deficiency and this problem is for 8-9 years. Some doctors said that this is a restless leg syndrome. But currently, I am not having this problem as I take care of taking vitamin d through an egg, mushrooms, and milk.
Second is shin splits, this problem I am facing from last 3-4 years and the doctor suggested heel supporter, but that didn't work too. So I always take care of running, as I know my limit, as soon I feel pain I stop and take a break for 2 3 days.
But now feeling this pain from last few weeks and this pain is around tibia bone and it becomes worst in the night, I feel very uncomfortable and can't sleep properly.
I never took any medicine for this shin splint problem.
and yes, I am using the same sports shoes for the last 2 3 years which I use while running and I use different shoes for badminton(Forgot to mention, I also play badminton on weekends).
and the pain is not just around tibia bone, I feel pain around heel and leg ankle also.
So is it a serious problem and should I consult an orthopedic?
Please suggest.

Brief Answer:
Vit D estimation
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I would first recommend you to get a Vit D level test done.
If on the lower side which is common in your age, correction of the same will solve the issue.
Also, it is advisable to take calcium supplements along with Vit D.
If the Vi D levels are normal, then you must meet a orthopedician who might ask for a DEXA BMD scan to see if there is any pathological osteopenia making bones prone for early pains.

Get tested
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing back.
Sorry for the delayed response,
Do get the Vit D test done first before starting the supplement.
If the supplements are taken without testing there are chances of toxicity.
