my mother have a fasting glucose level - 294 and post glucose level 396
and he HbAic - 12.8 . tablets which she is using - gluformin G1 and glycomet SR 500 . gluformin is before-food in the morning and glycomet SR 500 is after-meal in the evening

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your report, your mother is having uncontrolled diabetes as blood sugar level and HbA1c are at much higher level.

As blood sugar levels are not under control, she may require insulin injections i. e. Inj. Lantus 6 IU(starting dose) at bed time and have to increase oral anti diabetic medications dosage after endocrinologist consultation.

Insulin dosage requires titration as per the blood sugar levels. So kindly check blood sugar levels at least three times a day before meal.

She may also require ophthalmic examination and blood investigation like renal function test, lipid profile after consultation.

Along with that kindly follow proper diabetic diet after consultation with dietician. Do regular exercise like brisk walking. Use cushioned shoes and take proper foot care.

sir now for two - three days she is using glycomet sr 500 in afternoon - after meal . this also makes her to reduce 240 in morning (before meal) .if this will bring the sugar level underlimit ..? . or it is better to go for insulin or suggest me the best medicine for the maintain the optimum glucose level . so i am attaching you the test copy of my mother test . hope it will help you to suggest me insulin or tablet which me the optimum sugar level

Thank you for reply. I have gone through your attached reports images.

As I explained in previous answer, at HbA1c level of 12.8, she may require insulin injections i. e. Inj. Lantus 6 IU(starting dose) at bed time and have to increase oral anti diabetic medications dosage after endocrinologist consultation. This will definitely help to control blood sugar level.

As per report, vit. D level on little lower side, for that you can take vit. D XXXXXXX 60000 IU once a week for 6 weeks after physician consultation.

As well as Total cholesterol is on little higher side, I would suggest you to avoid oily and processed food and do regular exercises like brisk walking.
