Question: hi I have severe pain in the pelvis, pressure, vaginal pressure and frequent need to pee. I have uterine fibroids but small and I am on birth control pills. I am 45 years old

I understand your concerns. I need few more clarifications before answering question:

1) What is the size, location and duration of fibroids ? Please attach ultrasound copy along with this query.

2) Have you tested your blood pressure and blood sugars recently? Are you suffering from diabetes?

3) Have you undergone any surgery in the past?

4) Do you have regular cycles? Any irregular periods?

5) Do you have painful menses?

Two years ago I was told I have 4 fibroids and the largest is 4 cm, I do not know the location. Blood pressure and blood sugar are normal. No diabetes and had my appendix removed and an ovarian cyst removed in 1997. No painful periods and yes regular cycles

Hi,

Thanks for additional information and uploading reports.

Your fibroids are large in size and are multiple. Locations also seems to be in places where these symptoms can be caused.

Your symptoms are due to pressure exerted by these fibroids on bladder and vagina. These symptoms are known to occur in women with such large and multiple fibroids.

It is advisable to undergo myomectomy ( fibroid removal surgery) for relief of symptoms.
