Brief Answer:
Possible autoimmune issues
Detailed Answer:
Hi and welcome.
This may be temporary if some external trigger is present but if persist, then rash with joint pain may be related to some autoimmune systemic diseases such as SLE, rheumatoid arthritis or vasculitis.
However, if this is present only after certain activities or in a specific environment then this is more likely to be allergic reaction or hypersensitivity. I suggest seeing an immunologist for further workup.
Wish you good health.

Brief Answer:
no need to cancel
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
There is no need to cancel the dermatologist because his examination will be useful as well.
It may be an isolated dermatologic disease.
But after this, it would be good to see immunologist who will recommend specific lab tests which will rule out diseases that I have mentioned above.
In every case, you should not be concerned about these symptoms and there is no urgency, but plan these specialist appointments in the future.
