Question: hi. i was not getting my period since 3 month. my doctor advised me to take premolut for 10 days. and wactually am on my 10th day 2day. but what happened is that in the 10 days i took almost 3 kgs. am a bit worried. i can see, i have a big beely as if am 9 mnths pregant. please avised.

The oral hormonal contraceptive pills can cause increase in weight, even primolut does but not in 10 days.

Hormonal medications taken for a minimum of 3 to 4 months can show some affects on the weight.

Need not worry, it may not be due to primolut and you have to recheck your weight in another scale or find another cause for weight gain.
