Responses noted. Need to know a few more things
Detailed Answer:
Good to hear from you again.
Observations from your response:
1. HbA1C is high.
2. The lipid profile is deranged. I think instead of plain fenofibrate, you should take Atocor F.
3. Orange, Banana is a NO-NO. They have a very decent amount of carbohydrates in the diet.
4. Medication timings noted.
5. You have relatively long-standing diabetes. And you have been on medicines.
So, I need to know-
a. What was the previous HbA1C? What is the usual trend?
b. I also need you to upload your sugar chart.
c. Has your diet pattern changed recently? If yes, what have been the additions/deletions? It may be a minor change, but please do not neglect it.
Awaiting the information, so that I may be able to help you further.
Best of luck,
Dr. Mittal.

Hello.
Thanks for the information.
These are my recommendations.
1. Switch back to your old diet. It is possible that the change in diet was the main trigger of change in sugars that you had reported in your very first message (morning average FBS is 160 to 190 before it was 130 to 140, also after breakfast, it become 210 t0 240 before it was less than 190 ).
2. are you using spirit etc to clean finger before the prick. if you are doing so, I recommend letting the fluid dry completely before you take a prick.
3. Don't worry about one sugar being high. That can happen. And no medicine change is needed based on one sugar report.
4. I recommend you start maintaining a chart. You are checking the sugars diligently anyways. Might as well maintain a record. It always helps to do so, when a doctor is trying to change the medicine.
5. As for boiled raw banana, you need to maintain your calorie intake. You can use a XXXXXXX app to do so. Before you eat, put in the entry of the food you eat. And decide the portions of food accordingly. You see diabetes and sugar control is a balance between added calories (by what you eat), and the calories burnt (by exercise regime and medicines). So this may be able to help you find the excess calories you may be consuming.
6. Keep your diet regular, in quantity and food preferences. If your diet remains regular, the medications can be regulated better.
I hope that helps.
Let me know if any point needs clarification.
Best wishes,
Dr. Saumya Mittal
