Question: hi doctor, i had a miscarriage then the bleeding stoped for one week than started to bleed again and my doctor told me that it is a period. i have pcos and that period took too long like for 3 weeks so i told her to give me duphaston for 23 days so it can stop the bleeding, so my question is can i get pregnant before i get my period while i'm taking duphaston) ?

I am sorry for your miscarriage.

Duphaston is the brand name of a hormone called dydrogesterone (progesterone).

It is recommended in women trying to conceive when there is a low level of progesterone.

So, the probability of conceiving while on duphaston is higher.

In case of anemia due to bleeding I would also recommend an iron preparation along with folic acid one capsule a day.
