ive been married for 9 months and now me and my husband are trying to get pregnant.
he did semen analysis and as shown in the picture he has high percentage of abnormal sperms (97%25) his sperm count is 58 and progressive motioity 65
thhe doctor gave his proxeed plus to improve quality of sperms.
how bad is the result? i am very concerened as ive read many negative stories about having high abnormal sperms.

I have reviewed your husband's semen analysis and it is not as bad as you may think. it is very important to stress that in order to say that your husband has an abnormal semen analysis, we have to do two semen analysis 3 months apart. this is because a lot of factors can effect the sperm of a man. the most common would be stress, lack of sleep, fever among other things.
the reference value for the normal forms is anything above for 4 to 5 percent. your husband semen analysis shows three percent normal forms. this could be just a variability that that is the reason why a second sample is needed to be able to say if he has an abnormal semen analysis or not. it is in my opinion that he has a normal semen analysis.
it is also important the rule out the presence of a varicocele because this is the most common cause of infertility in men also causing sperm abnormal forms. varicocele can be detected during the physical exam with the doctor and confirmed with an ultrasound.
for now please continue with the medications and vitamins the doctor has provided you.

What if the reason behind having abnormal forms not known? because the doctor did a physical test saying he doesnt have varicocele but he didnt do ultra sound , can it not be seen through physical exam and be seen in ultra sound? and can pregnancy still happen with this number ?

small varicocele can only be seen by an ultrasound and we call it sub clinical varicocele. whether a sub clinical varicocoele can affect sperm analysis is still being debated.
