Question: hi doctor, my 4 year old daughter is on mycoplasma pnuemonie antibiotic course since saturday night and her fever improve but sometimes her temperature still can hit 38 ..normally the fever will last for how long??

today my daughter still cannot discharge from hospital due to she got fever at 4pm at 38 degree..according to doc look at her throat and listen to her chest everthing seem good..but why she still can fever? she having a good appetite also?

Sporadic fever spikes like this is common during convalescence.

If she's active when fever touches baseline and if her appetite is good...this means she's on recovery path.

But if fever lasts more than 101 even after 7 days, I would recommend reinvesting please.
