Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Welcome to the "Ask a Doctor" service.
I am Dr. Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
As you have only a minimal contracture with mildly decreased motility, my clinical acumen says that it is not of severe intensity and does not have any clinical significance.
At least for sure, this is not life-threatening.
Such a patient is usually subjected to tests like electromanometry, FESS, Ph Studies etc as a part of further evaluation.
This condition can not be reversed by medical management but such patients can usually be well managed by
Dilatational procedures, diet modifications, swallowing techniques, compensatory mechanisms, BOTOX injection, and multiple medications to increase gut motility.
Very rarely patient needs enteral feeding or surgical procedures.
Enteral feeding with a feeding tube is reserved for patients who are unable to achieve adequate alimentation and hydration by mouth.
The most common surgical procedure in severe cases is myotomy to reduce the resistance of the outflow tract.
Hope that I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards
ive attached a picture of my diagnosis, can you take a look and comment on that. im pretty nervous as you can probably tell...thank you
