Brief Answer:
Probability of Upper Respiratory Tract Infection is there
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service.
I am Dr. Ajeet XXXXXXX
I have gone through your query and here is my opinion.
Nowadays, the world has been threatened by pandemic flu called COVID-19.
Cough is usually an integral part of the symptoms because it is basically viral pneumonia.
The patients have a travel history to the affected countries or a history of contact with someone who had a travel history.
As per the symptoms, it is very likely due to an upper respiratory tract infection (URI or Sore throat).
You need to do warm saline gargles and take Acetaminophen 500mg for throat pain.
Take antihistamine like Levocetrizine 5mg at night time.
If no improvement within a while, an antibiotic course like Amoxicillin can be started in such patients in the dose of 500mg thrice a day.
If the symptoms do not improve, see your clinician for further evaluation and management.
Hope I have answered your query.
Stay healthy and stay blessed.
Regards
