Hi, Im 25 Year Old, I Got Narcolepsy And Cataplexy,
Question: hi, im 25 year old, I got narcolepsy and cataplexy, as you know to control such a condition i have to take medication in the form of sedative, stimulants or anti-depresants. i have tried all the medication out there and am finding that anti-depresants and stimulants causes me to have erectile dysfunction. could there be a reason for this? And should i stop taking stimulants?

Based on the facts that you have posted you have been taking antidepressant and stimulant drugs as a part of treatment for Narcolepsy and Cataplexy and have been facing the problem of Erectile Dysfunction (ED).
All the drugs that are being prescribed as antipsychotic drugs if taken over a long period of time are known to cause side effects of Erectile Dysfunction(ED) which do not respond to Sildenafil or Cialis.
Stopping taking these drugs do recover the ED but you need to consult your Psychiatrist either to modify the combination of these drugs or to reduce the doses of these drugs as it is equally important to keep your symptoms of Narcolepsy under control.
