Hi There, I Am Having Body Aches And Some Numbness

Question: hi there, I am having body aches and some numbness (mild) in my face. when I have these symptoms they are around for a week or so then they go away. help!
Brief Answer:
Need observation and evaluation..
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Body ache and numbness are non specific symptoms. It doesn't point towards any specific medical condition. However the recurring nature of symptoms imply the problem may be related to an infection or other stressful event.
1. Is the numbness wide spread across the face or is limited to certain portion/s of the face. If it is the later, can you specify which areas are numb?
2. Do you feel feverish during the symptoms?
3. What other symptoms do you notice along with the primary symptoms?
Regards

Good afternoon - thank you for responding. Overall what I feel is weakness across my entire body. I realized yesterday that I had numbness in the face When I touched my cheeks. My body hurts as if I were contracting the flu and strangely enough I even sound congested to those who speak to me.
This happened a few weeks ago after a weekend when I didn’t get as much rest - birthday weekend for a friend. This time, it happened after a weekend cruise for my daughter. Not sure if this is my body’s Response to fatigue etc.
Thank you

Brief Answer:
Possibly viral...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
The set of symptoms are not very specific. However, since you feel other symptoms of flu (though not very obvious), it is possible that the symptoms may be related to viral infection. If the symptoms are mild and not severe, you have the XXXXXXX to wait and watch. But if they feel severe and troubling, it would be best to see a doctor and get a detailed clinical, as well as neurological examinations, done. Some viral infections are known to affect neurological functions and thus the numbness. Weakness is either an associated complaint or due to the body fighting infection.
Drink plenty of fluids. You might also consider starting a multivitamin pill. Other specific treatment if any can be started after a physical consult.
Hope this information suffices. Let me know if you need more help.
