Brief Answer:
Hyperosmia. Not a serious condition.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to "Ask a Doctor " service.

I have read your query and here is my advice.

Yours is a condition known as hyperosmia or heightened sense of smell.

It is not related to stroke, so, don't worry about it.

In some cases this may trigger migraines, but, even if it happens, nothing to worry about.

Possible causes include hormones imbalance, environmental, adverse effects of drugs, etc.

Treatment may include use of dopamine antagonist drugs such as thioridazine for example.

In conclusion, try to avoid these smells that augment your anxiety and don't worry about anything serious.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.
