Question: hi there.
im a 30 year old male.
this past two months i am suddenly experiencing pain.
it has come twice now. it comes for a period of 4-5 days then goes away.
the pain is on the right side below the buttock. my job is a pilot and i sit for long hours. could this be the reason? or any other reasons ?
why suddenly ? i stopped having a wallet since about 3 years now. could pain be due to wearing flat sandals ? i am wearing a new sandal for about 3 months now , and the sandal sole are flat. a cousin told me XXXXXXX sandals are not good because of flat sole? could that be the reason? what is best way to overcome such pain. i will change my sandal. is there any mineral i can take to get less sort of muscle pull or strain? i once a year get a neck muscle pull if i didnt sleep well i get that. any suggestions ?

Brief Answer:
Sciatica
Detailed Answer:
Hi there
Thanks for the query
It is possible you may be having sciatica due to pressing of the nerves in your spine due to possible disc bulge in your spine.
Sitting long hours, forward bending, lifting heavy objects can cause this. Nothing to do with wallet or sandals. No need to take any mineral.
Do back strengthenimg exercises that you can see on YouTube. Avoid sitting long hours. Avoid bending forwards and lifting weights.
Get an xray of the lumbar spins if the pain does not subside in 4 weeks.
I hope I have answered your query. I will be available to answer your follow up queries.

Actually it’s not spine and not buttocks but below the right buttocks on the upper thigh. Right side. Just where the buttocks ends and thigh starts.
I think it is muscular one.
I have put tiger balm. The pain is similar to the neck pains I get if I don’t sleep well.
My question is : how to avoid future recurring ?

Brief Answer:
Medication
Detailed Answer:
The back of upper thigh pain could be due to slip disc in most cases.
Take Tablet Myospas-Th 8mg twice a day after food. It can cause drowsiness so don't take it before driving. If you have numbness or pins and needless sensations take Tablet Pregabalin 75mg at night as well. Confine Myospas for one week and Pregabalin for 2 months.
