Hi Today I Have Taken Widal Test My To Is

would be considered positive
Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic
The widal test is used to check for salmonella typhi.
It's accuracy can vary. H and O refer to antigens or types of proteins that can be found on the bacteria. The widal test looks to see if the body has made antibodies (another type of protein to fight infection), to try and fight the bacteria. If a person does not have salmonella or has a very very small amount then the body would not make a lot of antibodies/fighting protein.
A false positive test (person got a positive result and does not have an infection at the moment), can occur if a person had the infection before or was vaccinated.
It is said to be positive if the result is more than 1:80 or if there is 4 fold/4 times increase between blood test results. Some labs may state O greater than 1:80 and H greater than 1:160- would be positive
If a person lives in a country or region where there is a high prevalence/number of people with typhoid fever then diagnosis requires higher values
Based on your results, the result would be said to be positive
I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
