Question: hi.Im a 27 year old lactating mother. Iam taking shellcall 500 & vitamin d tablets for some months. Did a BMD check today. Please see & suggest on how to improve the Zscore ? also , is it possible to recover this condition?

Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
I have seen your details and reports and first of all let me tell you that there is no cause for panic. This condition is fully recoverable and it may take some time( maybe 2-3 years).
At your age I would normally start only calcium ( in the form of calcium citrate malate or calcium orotate ) and vitamin D on regular basis. By regular treatment you will recover.
At your age and lactating mother I do not recommend any other treatment.

To all patients I recommend tab C C M one daily and cap uprise D3. 60 k once a week/ month depending on vit d levels.
