However in general if you have chronic dry cough , resting or moving difficulty in breathing or chest tiredness ,(all of them in combination or not) than we can assume that we have a returning asthma.

when i talk to much or do to much, i cant hardly breathe

I used to smoke, I quit 6 months ago but I did smoke a few months ago but I quit then

Ok the fact that you have stopped smoking it's a very important step in an asthmatic patient.
Now you should take in consideration the other signs and symptoms I explained above. If you have one of them but in a continuous way than we can think that your asthma has come back. Try to avoid also air pollution environment because it exacerbate asthm too.
