Ok doc. Does it have sinus tract or abscess?
Brief Answer:
The abscess is there but sinus tract can only be checked physically
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for writing in.
It shows some black shadow which is overlapping with your sinus and they should have taken another X-ray with different angulation to confirm it.
For sinus tract, you need to tell was it draining from that place and did you had swelling over this tooth with an opening for drainage. If it was there then its a sinus tract and to confirm the dentist puts gutta-percha cone in it and take an x-ray.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks

I had recurrent colds and sinusitis. Does it have to do with this tooth infection? Aside from root canal doc, usually will the dentist give antibiotics for this?
Brief Answer:
That sinusitis is not relevant to this tooth.
Detailed Answer:
Hi there,
Thanks for getting back to me.
Sinusitis has no relation to the infection of this tooth. Since its an infected tooth, so you should take 5 days course of antibiotics. You need to get started with Root Canal Treatment as soon as possible as medicines can relieve only the systemic signs and not long lasting.
Please let me know if you have any further questions.
Thanks
