Question: i am a 44 year old female. For the past year I have been experiencing a strange pinching/sharp pelvic pain on bikini line towards the center. Seems to start after ovulation and goes through menses. Can be gone for months then pops back up on and off for a few weeks. When the pain first began went to gyno had work-up (urine samples and ultrasound) everything came back clear with the exception of bacterial vaginosis (which since then keeps coming back after treatment) Should I worry about pain could it be part of pms?

Brief Answer:
PMS most likely....

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
The presence of suprapubic pain over the midline over the bikini area is most likely due to bacterial vaginosis induced secondary urinary tract infection. BV is also a known cause , if chronic, for pelvic inflammatory disease which too can cause this pain.
The pain of ovulation is often associated to one side of pelvis or left/ right iliac fossa as only one ovary ovulates during a cycle. However, PMS also presents with mild lower abdominal ache around 10 days before start of menses and which can last till menses. So, in your case the typical is more likely to be PMS rather than any UTI, PELVIC infection or bacterial vaginosis.
I hope i have answered your query in detail,
Wishing you good health,
Regards
