Brief Answer:
further evaluation needed...

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Welcome to 'Ask A Doctor' service...
I've gone through your query in details...

Well, please note that Calcirol is nothing but Cholecalciferol i.e. Vitamin D3 only. It's available in XXXXXXX form, granules as well as capsules. The typical Dosage is 60,000IU Once Weekly for 6-8weeks. After that, further investigations need to be done to check the levels of serum Calcium and Vitamin D3 to decide on further dose titration.

You've mentioned of taking Vitamin D capsules already. So, please mention the exact name, dosage, and duration so that I can assist you regarding. Along with it, Calcium supplementation should also be taken (if not combined in the capsule already).

Another possibility is your physician may also be considering Calcirol on top of daily Vitamin D supplementation. It's better to talk to your physician in that scenario as s/he can clarify this doubt better.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take Care
Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
were the Vitamin D3 levels checked after this?

Detailed Answer:
Welcome back,

Cap D-Rise 60,000unit is same as Calcirol 60,000IU i.e. Vitamin D3 supplementation only (brands differ).

Tab ME12 is multivitamin supplementation.

3month is roughly 12weeks. Moreover, as per your description, you've already taken the D-Rise for 6months now. So, after completion of this, further investigations should be done to check the levels of serum Calcium and Vitamin D3 to decide on further dose titration. Meanwhile, you can continue ME12 as you're already taking.

However, I believe your physician must've examined you clinically, and already aware that you've taken these medicines for past 3months. So, can't comment on that. It's better to talk to your physician in that scenario as s/he can clarify this doubt better.

In my opinion, you should be getting evaluated first, as already explained, to decide on the further dose titration.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take Care
Kind Regards
