Brief Answer:
Psychological treatment of sphenopalapine neurlagia

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX

We're sorry to hear about your condition.

Looking at your query, I do see that you have already visited a doctor and have been advised a few medicines.

While, I assume that the prescribed medicines are helping you and you are well aware about this condition. But, wish to inform that we can't avoid the side-effects due to these and the typical risks involved in the medical management of this condition. My recommendation follows a few tips and techniques:

1. Understand the triggers that often bring in painful episodes for you
2. Practice deep breathing exercises, start in small steps as a beginner
3. The technique of deep inhale and forceful exhale might help, under a guided help
4. Pursue a healthy lifestyle, guided excercise and meditation can support
5. Avoid beverages, toxic substances
6. Plan some quality between family, friends or a peaceful vacation

An effective schedule usually makes it manageable with proven results. I can guide you more over the counselling session, may also recommend a few psychotherapies for you.

Alternatively, a sphenopalatine ganglion block is a minimally invasive treatment option providing a rapid relief. It is also an attractive option for pain control as the associated risks are relatively low. It caters to various conditions like headache pain, migraine pain, and atypical facial pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. For counselling, you may raise a request and the team will guide you further.

Wishing you a good health and speedy recovery!

Regards,
Divye Omita (DO), Psychologist and Counsellor
