Hello
After going through the medical details provided by you I can very well understand your concern for your health and your issue and I would like to tell you that the first thing which you need to keep in your mind is that SVT is not a life-threatening arrhythmia and is not going to cause any threat to your life however palpitations and discomfort may bother you at times.
As your baby is just eight weeks old so what I has your home that you must be breastfeeding the baby so in that scenario it’s highly advisable that you should not take a variety of medications as most of the medicines are excreted in mothers milk which ultimately can affect the breast feeding baby.
As you have already underwent ablation for SBT and still you are experiencing palpitations at times so as of now the best thing which can be done for you is with the help of beta-blocker only. The doctor has increase the dose of Metoprolol to 25mg BD which is a wise opinion.
The precautions which you can take on your part is to avoid caffeine containing drinks such as soft drinks coffee etc as these drinks causes sympathetic stimulation which can ultimately leads to tachycardia. Also smoking should strictly be prohibited if the person is continuing with that.
I hope this information will guide you properly.

Can you explain why I would be experiencing impending doom? As it is making me very anxious and unable to go outside in fear it will happen again. I am exclusively breastfeeding. Is metoprolol okay whilst BF? Also is there anything I should be concerned about as per my symptoms. I have just felt so unwell since having Bub. I know I do suffer from anxiety but my heart condition is not because of anxiety. I don’t have any stimulants. Cheers for the response. Thank you kindly.

Hello again
Detailed Answer:
Dear your heart problem is not because of anxiety but yes your anxiety can definitely trigger palpitations due to increased sympathetic drive.
Feeling of heart sinking or impending doom is a very common symptom in SVT patients which happens due to fast heart beats and inadequate blood filling in heart cavity due to tachycardia.
The dose of metoprolol which you are currently taking is not very high so nothing to be worried for.
Hope to have been helpful.

But I have not been in SVT again rather just a sinus tachycardia. I honestly am just over feeling like this and want to feel normal again. This feeling of impending doom is happening even without tachycardias. I just feel really off. I have a device that checks my rhythm and I send the same to my cardiologist and he says is fine. But I feel terrible.
I eat healthy, exercise, meditate, I just feel exhausted awful with palpitations.

Detailed Answer:
Ma’am as of now for tachycardia you are already on Metoprolol and even if after this you are having tachycardia then the dose of this has to be further optimised till desired effect is achieved. Rest your anxiety is also playing a major role in this and you have you calm down yourself. It’s good to know that you are practising meditation as that’s very good in combatting stress.
However if things still remain out of control and bothersome then it’s advisable to seek help and guidance from psychologist to control your anxiety levels.
Hope to have been helpful.

I just want to be sure that my symptoms aren’t going to cause sudden cardiac death. As I have my little baby to care for and need to be around for him.
When I was pregnant in hospital and was having cardiac arythmias the dr said I could have WPW looking at my ECG. Would that be picked up on my routine ECGs with the cardiologist?
Thank you kindly

Detailed Answer:
No PSVT never causes a threat to a patient life per se. However as you have now mentioned wpw which altogether is a different story.
If someone has wpw it will persist in all ecgs no matter how many ecgs are taken. So yes your treating doctor will be able to tell if it’s there or not.
Hope to have been helpful.
