Brief Answer:
Yes, it's on higher side. Follow up with more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

As per your history, tTG IgA level 26 is on higher side. Usually reference value more than 11 is considered positive and it may varies slightly as per lab. Value. If possible, kindly attach reports.

Raised tTG IgA level may be due to celiac disease.

Please let me know do you have history of weight loss, decreased appetite or Family history of celiac disease?

But as you do not having any stomach issues, I would suggest you to do endomycial IgA and deamidated gliadin peptide IgA levels after gastroenterologist's opinion.

Kindly watch for symptoms like diarrhea, abdominal pain, heartburn, nausea. In that case for confirmation, you may require intestinal biopsy after gastroenterologist's opinion.

Let me know I can assist you further....

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale.

My grandma had celiac disease and her brother has it. I have heartburn every once in awhile and I am anemic but started a multi vitamin and take iron supplement but I don’t have any other stomach or digestive issues. Im suppose to be getting a copy of that bloodwork. My daughter has been having stomach and digestive issues too. She has really bad cramps right before her period but I think that is just part of her cycle but she also has problems when she eats certain foods but I don’t have any issues like that. I am a pasta person and i went on the gluten free diet a month last year and gluten free pasta is not good at all.

Hello,

Thank you for your reply.

As per your history, it may be celiac disease as this autoimmune disease runs in families.

Positive results of other tests are suggestive of celiac disease.

In view of that, I would suggest you to take gluten free diet.

Let me know I can assist you further....

Regards,
Dr Shyam Kale.
