I Got Out Of The Hospital Last Week With Bilateral

Question: i got out of the hospital last week with bilateral pulmanary embolism. i was told I should not be alive. we are wintering in CA and teying to get home to SD. The doctors never gave us a definate timeline for safe travel. We are pulling a RV. We tried leaving CA yesterday and I had severe zingers over my left chest front to back, up over the shoulder and down the arm the entire time. We drove 200 miles stopping every hour and I was in tears all the way. I can fight through the pain but I want to be sure it is safe to be traveling. i am going to try sending a pick of the clots along with this.
Brief Answer:
you'd better avoid travelling...
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
pulmonary embolism is a serious disorder. Although there are no strict rules regarding traveling after pulmonary embolism we usually instruct patients to avoid it for at least a couple of weeks. Some doctors prefer a more cautious approach and instruct their patients to avoid traveling for a month after the embolism.
Appropriate anticoagulation and compression stockings will reduce the risk of new embolisms.
I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.
