I Have Been Coughing Up Tiny Specks Of What Appears
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: i have been coughing up tiny specks of what appears to be blood for a few days now. I used to use a vape cartridge for thc and I used for about a month. I was not aware these products can be adulterated so I ceased use about two weeks ago. i have had a sore throat that feels so bad almost like strep. I also noticed slight ling pain on my right lung. I went to the doctor and he said I did not have strep, I forgot to mention to the blood as I thought it could have been from my nose. initially, I noticed more blood incboth nostrils and thought it was a nosebleed due to the accutane I take. Before I used the cartridge I would smoke about three times a month. I used to smoke both cannabis and Tobacco a lot a few years back but I stopped the heavy cannabis useage and quit tobacco.
Brief Answer:
Get done chest x ray.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Ask a doctor forum.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the detailed history you have given.
In my opinion, you should definitely get done chest x ray to rule out any lung pathology.
If chest x ray is normal then possibility of nose bleeding is more likely.
Please let me know
1. Do you have cough?
2. Do you have weight loss or fever?

Yes I am developing a slight cough but it does not seem very prevalent yet.
No fever so far.
I am waiting for my insurance to come in which is why I do not have an x ray yet.
I worked out today and had weird white mucus come up with a numbing chemical taste. I think that taste could have been an accutane pill that got stuck in my throat but not sure. After i had bloody mucus in my left nostril. I am still able to run and do cardio despite having heavy mucus. I can feel my ears pop whenever I blow hard. It could be a sinus infection?
