Question: i have discomfort on and off in my lower abdomin. i have also had sone cramping in my lower back. i took a urine test and white blood cells came up.

It could be due to Urinary tract infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Pain in the lower abdomen can be due to Infection of Urinary bladder (Cystitis), Urinary bladder stone, Appendicitis (pain more on right side),Gut infection etc.
As your Urine has white blood cells,it goes more in favour of Urinary tract infection.
I prescribe Antibiotic like Norfloxacin 400mg twice daily after food along with smooth muscle relaxant tablet containing Dicyclomine to my patients with similar complaints.
Please consult a Doctor and get appropriate prescription.
Ultrasound abdomen will also give a clue
