Brief Answer:
There is some form of liver injury!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thanks so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this elevated liver enzyme. It shows there is some damage to the liver. Alcohol among many other things is a likely cause. If you have been drinking alcohol recently, that would be the most likely cause. I encourage you to keep away from alcohol and let's repeat these numbers 4-6weeks later. If they return to normal, then alcohol was the likely cause and no further action is required.

The fatty liver requires imaging studies to show fat deposits in the liver and elevated enzymes. It also happens mostly in person with overweight and obesity. We really do not have enough information to suggest this. If you were to do an ultrasound of the liver, then I might be able to talk further on this.

I hope these guides and helps.
I wish you well.

I have a liver ultrasound and want to know if it has reached the hepatitis stage. See liver test.

Brief Answer:
Yes, this is more suggestive!

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

The ultrasound shows you have more than expected fat deposits within the liver. This with abnormal liver tests could support steatohepatitis if no other causes for elevated liver enzymes such as alcohol are ruled out.

At this time, I encourage you to abstain/quit from alcohol as appropriate. You would also need to get your weight in order if not already through regular exercise, decreased fat intake, increased daily physical activities and decreased calorie intake.

I hope this guides and helps. I wish you well. Feel free to follow up with me as appropriate.
