Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to ask a doctor service
I have gone through your query and reviewed the attached photograph.
It seems to be a case of old resolving folliculitis which is inflammation of the hair follicles.
I would recommend you to apply combination of steroid antibiotic cream like fusidic acid and cortisone cream on the affected areas twice daily for 10-12 days.
This should resolve your problem.
If there is associated itching take antihistaminic like tablet chlorpheniramine maleate 4 mg once daily at bedtime for few days.

thank you Doctor, is there anything i can do to prevent this from ocurring? is this considered a staph infection?
Brief Answer:
Welcome
Detailed Answer:
To prevent there occurrence I would recommend you to avoid aggressive rubbing of the area, avoid tight fitted clothes and if possible avoid shaving of hair in this area.
It doesn’t seem to be staphylococcus infection. It is looking like a simple inflammation of the hair follicles.
Welcome
