I, My Son Is 2 Years Old Now.. 3 Days
Question: i, my son is 2 years old now.. 3 days back, he started vomiting after any food/liquid intake. after consulting one of my family doctor over phone, he recommended racigyl o syrup( racecadotril IP and ofloxacin) 5 ml twice a day..vomikind oral solution 2 ml( ondansetron 2 mg in 5 ml) before taking food and enteregenina twice a day. there is some relief in 2 days.. but he started complaining of stomach ache in the middle of the night. we gave him cyclopam drops ( dicyclomine hydrochloride and simethicone) 5 ml. is medication and dosage right? how long we should continue?
Brief Answer:
Medicines are proper.
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for using the Ask a Doctor service.
Usually an antibiotic is not needed in such a case. However, since you have started it you must complete the course of 5 days. Cyclopam is given on SOS basis and does not need to be continued unless the abdominal pain persists. The dosage is proper.
Feel free to write back.

There is no specific course for these medicines

Enterogermina can be given for the next few days. However, it is not mandatory. Vomikind needs to be given only if there is nausea or vomiting.
