Brief Answer:
Regarding risk of transmission of HPV

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have gone through your query and noted your concern.

Genital warts are caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). There is no way to ensure whether HPV is still around despite resolution of visible warts with treatment. Moreover, sometimes warts may recur after a seemingly complete cure. Normally most of those infected are able to clear the infection within 2 years. So, it can be presumed that if someone hasn't had any recurrence for 2 years has got rid of the virus. As far as having sex is concerned I would advice total abstinence for at least 6 months, if not more and regular use of a condom in case you have sex during and after 6 months. This is because warts are most likely to return within the first 6 months after they have been removed or treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Brief Answer:
Regarding HPV infection

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Ano genital warts is a local infection. So lip to lip kissing won't carry any risk. Only sexual contact of the nature of either vaginal, anal or oral sex can lead to transmission of infection.
Take care.
