Brief Answer:
Most likely repairing action.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir
Thank you for asking ask a doctor service.
I have gone through your query. Black particle in sputum can be most likely due to expulsion of impurities from lung. This is the self repairing action of lung. This may take around 1 year. Except irreversible damage lungs will heal. Chest x-ray and spirometry test will be helpful to rule out the extent of damage.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thanks.
