Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting the query...
I have gone through the query and understood your problem. I am of the opinion that you could be suffering from Acute Laryngopharyngitis secondary to Recurrent sinusitis.
The change in the voice and irritation in the pharynx is due to the presence of edema. Also, if there could be a possibility of acid reflux disease due to the stress and medications taken. If the presence of the later condition the symptoms can worsen.
My suggestions to you are:
1. Drink frequent sips of warm water
2. Do steam inhalation 2-3 times a day
3. Take acid reflux medicines such as Pantoprazole or Esomeprazole.
4. Use saline nasal spray 4-5 times a day for nasal cleansing and reducing the nasal block if any.
5. Avoid coffee/smoking/chilled food and beverages.
6. Try to speak softly rather than straining your voice or whispering.
Hope with above management you would get better.
Please revert back to me if you have any queries.
