Pain in that area
Pain in that area
Brief Answer:
may or may not be related to appendix...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
1. How long have you been having the pain?
2. Has the pain disappeared now? Or is the pain intermittent in nature?
3. Can you describe the pain - is it colicky (crampy) or a dull ache?
4. Are you running fever or have vomiting?
5. Does it hurt while passing urine?
6. Do you have burning sensation while passing urine?
Not all pain occurring in right lower abdomen is related to appendix. There are other possibilities such as ureteric colic / colitis and even muscle strains. Possibility that it could be related to appendix is remote and unlikely.

Brief Answer:
Ultrasound scan will help you...
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for the details. The symptoms are too mild to be related to appendix, therefore I would not consider it in the list of possibilities. Ureteric colic or renal stone is one of the close possibilities I name in patients with those symptoms. I will order an ultrasound scan of the affected area. It will allow us identify problems and issues of last 1 month.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Tylenol pain relief..
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
You could try tylenol pain relief; but if that doesn't help ibuprofen is the next available OTC. I prefer to treat patients with similar symptoms with combination of acetaminophen plus an opioid drug. However the treatment is after confirming diagnosis with an ultrasound scan, blood and urine test. So, I recommend you to see a doctor for evaluation while you take the available OTC's.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more assistance.
