Brief Answer:
Start antihistamines as follows

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome in Ask the Doctor

I can understand your concern

According to the history you provide I don't think this cough is related to any infection due to travel because those have fever mostly and a general discomfort with fatigue.

In my opinion it seems like an allergic cough. You can use antihistamines such as : Telfast 180 mg twice orally for one week
Usually it improves or in others it disappears. If not than first step is a chest X ray.
Please if you smoke stop it at least these days.

Hope to have been helpful
