Brief Answer:
Regarding dandruff and hair fall

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Yes, you may use fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% shampoo for dandruff. Use it twice in a week. Lather it well on to wet scalp and allow it to act for 7-10minutes before rinsing it off. Trichoscopy would be a useful test in ascertaining the exact cause of hair fall. Seborrheic dermatitis/dandruff is quite obvious on trichoscopic examination as scaling and erythema. Though androgenetic alopecia is easy to diagnose in later stages, however, variation in hair shaft diameters of more than 20 % hairs on trichoscopy is an early feature of androgenetic alopecia. Minoxidil and finasteride are specific remedies for androgenetic alopecia and would be beneficial only in this condition.

Hope I have answered your query.

Brief Answer:
Regarding hair fall and dandruff.

Detailed Answer:
hi.

You can continue with either fluocinolone acetonide 0.01% shampoo or you may try Sebamed antidandruff shampoo. Avoid using hair oil, if you do. Instead use Ammonium lactate lotion (Lacsoft lotion) on wet hair after bath. It is non oily and would keep your hair in good condition. You can leave you email ID here. I will get back to you though I personally don't have a trichoscope with me. May be you can send me some images of your scalp so that I can ascertain the pattern and degree of hair loss/ thinning.

Hope I have answered your query

Brief Answer:
Regarding hair loss and thining.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you.
I have reviewed the images. I suggest you to take tablet finasteride e.g tablet Finax and also an oral biotin supplement e.g tablet Revilus once a day for 6-12 months. Minoxidil itself causes dandruff and since you already have dandruff so avoid minoxidil solution. You may use either Sebowash shampoo or Sebamed antidandruff shampoo on alternate days. I cant share my number online. I will get back to you on mail.

Brief Answer:
Regarding androgenetic alopecia

Detailed Answer:
hi.

You have early onset androgenetic alopecia as is clearly visible in the images- thinning and receding anterior hair line specially at the angles. Starting treatment and being regular at this stage would help preserve existing hair density. For the time being I suggest you to follow the treatment advice i.e finasteride and oral biotin supplement. Response takes time therefore you need to be patient with this treatment for the initial 3-6 months for noticeable improvement. I have your contact details with me. Will get in touch via mail.

Hope I have answered your query.
