Question: i was diagnosed with an upper respitory infection(covid test was negative). lungs clear and ekg all good. 3 days later intense back and chest pain( feels muscular, not heart related) it radiated throughout causing a burning sensation all over body. Was prescribed Medrol for inflammation. my question is can medrol increase body temperature? havent ran a fever until started taking the steroids. usually im 97.7 now in the 99%E2%80%99s. is that normal?

I read your query and here is my advice.

Medrol doesn't increase the body temperature, doesn't cause fever.
Remember that body temperature up to 38.6 F us within normal range.
I would have not recommended medrol in this case because it may lower your immunity against the virus you may be having and also it can give predisposition to other infections .
You can use acetaminophen or ibuprofen for muscle pain.
