Question: i%E2%80%99m a 59 year old woman, taking 50 mg Angisar (before breakfast) for hypertension.
I read in news that Angisar is being recalled. The tablets I take are from Micro Labs Limited, 92 Sipcot, Hosur 635 126, XXXXXXX
Please let me know if true, and if so, what should I do?

There is no definite data about this, but there are some studies which show an increased risk for suicide related to ARB ( angisar, telmosartan, et.).
Anyway, these drugs are widely used and quite effective.
Other treatment options, if you decide to discontinue this drug would be ACEI ( lisinopril, ramipril, etc.) or a calcium channel blocker ( amlodipine, lercanidipine, etc).
