If I Were To Have Bleeding In My Brain Would
Blood work may not be abnormal in cases of bleeding in the brain.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for posting your query.
I am Dr Sudhir Kumar, Neurologist, and I would try my best to help you.
I have noted your clinical situation. In cases of bleeding in brain (brain hemorrhage), blood work is not abnormal in most cases. This is because the two commonest causes of bleeding in the brain are high BP (hypertension) and aneurysm (balloon like outpouching arising from blood vessels in brain) rupture. Blood work is normal in both these cases.
Bleeding can rarely occur due to deranged bleeding parameters such as low platelet counts or prolonged prothrombin time. This is more likely to occur in people taking drugs as aspirin, clopidogrel or warfarin. Sometimes severe blood infections can also derange blood parameters leading to brain bleeding.
I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.
Wishing you good health,
