Brief Answer:
Can be allergic cough or a side effect of medications.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor's service.
I read your query and here is my advice.

The cough for so long may be caused by any allergies.
Also it may be possibly caused as a side effect of the medications you are having.
Also feeling light-headed may be related to using certain medications.
You can tell me more about the medications you are taking.
If you have had a visit to pneumologist or to allergologist to get checked about this cough.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
