Hi I’m concerned about cervical cancer.
To give you some background I had a smear test that was normal in 2016.
I’ve since had high risk hpv and had one pregnancy.
I’ve started periods again even though I’m breastfeeding and just this past week I’ve been experiencing pelvic and back pain.
I feel well in myself.
I’ve just had a full blood count and the results were fine except the liver APL reading was a little high. I’m worried this could be linked to cancer too?
How likely is this?

I’m unable to get a smear until
October so
Wanted to ask instead of googling

Brief Answer:
Pelvic pain or back pain is not sign of cervical cancer in early stage
Detailed Answer:
hello,
a cancer is not painful in early stage. Pelvic or abdominal pain is seen at very late stage. So this pain is not sign of cancer. I would suggest you to get a ultrasound as it can be due to a fibroid or a kidney stone. I can assure you that cervical cancer does not cause pain in abdomen or pelvis unless it is present since long time.
thanks

Ok and could cervical cancer not develop into late stage over a space of 2/3 years?
Would you say the liver test result is anything to worry about? It was only slightly over the range. Doctor says retake in 6 months. All other results were normal

Brief Answer:
Liver test does not specific for cervical cancer only
Detailed Answer:
Liver helps in metabolism of all the body organs. So a bad liver test does not mean that it is always do to cervical cancer. You can look for other problems , obesity, indigestion or stone in gall bladder. A ultrasound of abdomen can further guide you.
Thanks
