Question: im not sure how long ago this started maybe 1 1/2 months ago, but i keep getting these reaccurent eyelid and undereye bumps. theyre not a stye or milia because they disappear and come back for a few days. Im not sure if its due to this new eyeshadow/ if they changed the ingredients in my concealor but it seems to come back every other week. i will try to attach an image so you can see what the bumps look like, they dont itch or burn or crust over. they just appear and then disappear sometimes in the same spot sometimes only one appears but it makes me self concious and just nervous that i have herpes on the skin around my eyes due to trying to look up answers and getting no results. if you can help me get some type of answer that would be amazing.

Brief Answer:
eye liner induced papule or plaque most likely.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query with attached photo image of the eye and here is my advise.

* As per my surgical experience, the issue sounds to be papule or plaque
most likely secondary to sensitivity to ingredient of new eye shadow liner.
Herpes sounds very less possibility as they do not burn, fades away and
come back.

My guidelines at present

- Avoid any type of eye liner and other creams around eye.
- Thorough eye splashing with cold water rinsing 5 minutes each 4-5 times
a day.
- Apply aloe vera gel 3 times a day which has excellent healing property.
- No medications are required at present.
- Avoid exposure to atmosphere pollen ( a protective eye wear or sunglasses
prove best tools ).
- Do not panic for serious issue affecting skin around eye.

Follow up after 24 hours about the progress or early as per the need.
Wish you best recovery.

Regards.
