In The Last 24 Hrs I've Had Gas Like Pains.

intestine upset with gastritis.
Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to Ask A Doctor services.
I have read your query and here is my advise.
* As per my clinical experience, the pain lower tummy and base of ribs in
the center of the bottom of ribs may be part of intestine upset with
gastritis from various reasons as indigestion, infection or else.
However provision of further details will be needed to get more precise co relation on clinical grounds with following
1. Type of pain, intensity, frequency, progress since onset ?
2. Does it radiate or remain localised ?
3. Any particular food taken apart from routine on the day before the event?
4. Are bowel movements normal or disturbed , is there associated nausea,
vomiting or other systemic features ?
Till the time you revert back with the details, an intake of proton pump inhibitor as omeprazole or pantoprazole with sips of water on empty stomach will help great.
Awaiting for your response.
Regards.

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for the details.
* Seems to be intestine upset as per the previous discussion, which might
be following minor viral infection or digestive enzyme disturbances altering
gut flora mechanics.
My guidelines at present
- drink more liquids in terms of boiled water, lemon juice, coconut water,
fresh butter milk
- prefer easily digestible food stuffs as rice, curd, organic fresh fruits
- avoid all spices, junk foods, non veg, dairy fat, alcohol, aerated drinks if
consuming at present
- take omeprazole capsule with sips of water on empty stomach 2 times a
day ; tablet paracetamol ( 500 mg ) 3 times a day after meals
- remain ambulatory and continue your routine activities
Do follow up after 24 hours about the progress of the condition or early as per the need.
Wish you best recovery and health.
Take care.
