Is There Anything I Can Do About Trigger Finger In My Middle Finger?
Using splint can help.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
It seems that you are suffering from trigger finger. This happens due to tendon sheath inflammation or thickening. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs — such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin IB) or naproxen (Aleve) — may relieve the pain but are unlikely to relieve the swelling constricting the tendon sheath or trapping the tendon.
Rest, strapping the finger with the next finger or using a proper splint can help in keeping the finger in position.
In case it is persistent then proper stretching exercises and local steroid injections can help.
I hope this answers your query.
