Brief Answer:
balanitis?

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

welcome to the 'Ask a Doctor' service.

You symptoms sound a lot like balanitis. Fungi are usually implicated in such cases. Diabetes mellitus is a recognized risk factor for this condition. Unfortunately you haven't mentioned anything about your medical history or the drugs you use. Certain medications may increase the risk for such infections as well, so if you'd like to share more information it might help to get to the root of your problem.

If your doctor confirms this diagnosis then local antifungal treatment and urine glucose elimination are helpful measures against this disorder. If it's not a yeast then bacterial infection and dermatitis will have to be considered. Your primary care doctor should be able to help you with any of them.

I hope I've answered your question. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Kind Regards!

I take no medication. No symptoms of any to report. I sit a lot when urinating. So you think the penis touching the toilet seats could have had some kind if germ be picked up?

Brief Answer:
I don't think so

Detailed Answer:
There are various causes that may affect this area. If a sexually transmitted disease (STD) can be safely excluded (if you're using condoms) then other causes like poor hygiene or too many irritants (soap or other chemicals) may be considered. Using warm (not hot!) water is recommended for daily cleaning of the area. Using soap is discouraged.

Getting germs from toilet seats does not sound a likely cause. Proper hygiene should eliminate such causes.

Kind Regards!
