Kindly Suggest Medicine For Gastric Problem?

Question : Dear Dr. I am male age 50 yrs working in the Central Government office in New XXXXXXX Since childhood my stomach is very sensitive. In the childhood when I ate anything, I used to suffer from motions. Later Doctors told me that when you become young the problem will be resolved. Then next episode started earlier 30s that what ever I used to eat, I was suffering from Indigestion leading to headache. The problem is still continuing. Third episode is that for the last two years, when I eat any thing, I am getting pain in the abdomen and going to loose to semi 3-4 every day. Now the gist of the problem is I have been suffering from Gas, Indigestion leading to headache, pain the stomach and motion after that. My life style is ok Dr. As far as I am concerned, I am vegetarian. I don't drink alcohol, normal avoid outside food. I take plenty of water daily. Do regualr exercises. But the problem persists. Hitherto I shown to many Doctors every one suggested one or the other tablets but in vain. My sincere request is what is the problem. Second thing, kindly suggest medicine for Gas, overcome indigestion, If headache comes which tablets I have to use, most importantly for stomach pain and controlling motions. Kindly suggest suitable medicines.

Do you have these symptoms after taking any particular food or dairy products?

As per your history, I think it may be irritable bowel syndrome or lactose Mal absorption or intolerance.

For detailed clinical examination, I would suggest to consult with gastroenterologist. He may procure colonoscopy, CT abdomen and blood investigation including lactose tolerance test as per evaluation.

Till then for headache you can take tablet acetaminophen. You can also take tablets containing digestive enzymes diastase, papaine.

Along with that take high fibre diet. Maintain proper hydration. Avoid fatty foods and bakery items. Kindly continue daily exercise.

Dear Dr. Thank you for your reply. Kindly tell me Digestive enzymes Papaine how many times I have to take. Shall I take after every meal. Then kindly suggest till going to Gastroenterologist medicines which helps me not to get stomach pain and sudden motion. As suggested by you, I will visit Gastroenterologist

You can take tablet Unienzyme three times a day after meal.

In case of loose motion, you can take tablet loperamide 2 mg. For stomach pain, you can take tablet cyclopam.

Along with that kindly follow all measures as advised before.
