Kindly Suggest What Test Needed For Diverticulitis ?

Question: First I have been treated for an inflammatory autoimmune disorder for 30 years. I was originally diagnosed with Still's Disease and then developed vasculitis about 10 years ago.
In December I had a weird eye thing happen with flashes and some floaters in my eye, have been to a retina specialist have had follow ups at his request 3 times since then. He feels certain he does not see a retina problem and believes it is not a vitreous issue. He wanted to do an eye angiogram the last visit, I was skittish as I had a severe allergic reaction to dyes many years ago. He said he was leaning toward a mild case of optic neuritis. Since I was doing ok, I decided to just wait and discuss with my rheum. at my next visit in Sept. and revisit in Sept with next retina dr. follow up. The past 10 days my hands hurt and are going numb. It is worse than things I have had before with arthritis pain. Some friends in the medical profession have urged me to see a neurologist - I am torn as to whether that is too big of a step at this point. It is a problem though with pain especially and then with numbness as well.

Brief Answer:
Vasculitis may damage the nerves.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I think too that you should see your Neurologist. This because your recent symptoms are mainly neurological and, in the other hand, vasculitis may cause peripheral neuropathy, cranial nerves damage too.Besides discussing with your Neurologist about these issues tests such nerve conduction study and EMG, brain MRI, should be carried out to achieve a correct diagnosis.
