Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I've had a look at the other related questions you've asked. I agree with the endocrinologist's answer about the neuroendocrine tumors and the suggested tests. Your high ferritin levels may indicate a liver disorder or chronic inflammatory disorders (autoimmune?) or a tumor. The high hematocrit raises some suspicion about various disorders including hematologic disorders and primary liver tumors but if you've always had such a high hematocrit then it's not something bad...
I suggest you start the investigation from the clues you already have (high ferritin, high hematocrit). Other potential diagnoses may include multiple sclerosis (although the hot flushes are not supposed to be the only manifestation of this disease), the neuroendocrine tumors, alcohol use, certain drugs, menopause (you haven't mentioned anything about your period!), psychological stress (anxiety)...
The list is not exhaustive and a detailed medical history and clinical examination may reveal more clues.
I hope I've answered your question.
Please let me know if you need further assistance.
Kind Regards,
Dr Panagiotis Zografakis,
Internal Medicine Specialist
