Question: my daughter 21 years old has a swollen jaw and infected tooth urgent care gave her clindamycin 300 mg but I'm concerned the infection may go to the bone or systemic. Fever 99.9 Should I take her to the emergency room at the hospital or wait until her dentist appointment tomorrow

Hi

If your daughter is appearing weak or not feeding well then it's best you get her seen in the ED.

If she is able to manage the pain and able to eat and drink you can wait for the appointment. The antibiotic may help to retard the infection spread at this point. She can have some pain killers as well.
