Brief Answer:
Regarding subungual hematoma

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to ask a doctor service. I have viewed the image and gone through the query.

I can see new nail plate growing from the base of both the fingernails. The bruising/ hematoma underneath the nail as well as the old nail plate should eventually come off. It may take up to 6 months for the nail plate to be replaced so the bruising would persist till the old nail plate falls off.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if you need any more assistance.

Brief Answer:
Regarding subungual hematoma

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I think that should be ok. Somebody can do it for her- can cut the hanging part of nail with a sterile blade or a nail cutter.

Take care.
